Harbor — Privacy Policy

1. Publisher

Harbor is a Google Chrome extension published by Aroneus SRL. It keeps pinned tabs inside Chrome tab groups.

2. What Harbor stores

To work, Harbor saves in the extension storage provided by Chrome: your pinned tabs (base URL, custom name, allowed domains, group title and color) and your Harbor settings.

On each computer only: the last page visited in each pinned tab, its title and its icon.

3. Sync between your computers

If Chrome is signed in to your account with sync turned on, Harbor uses Chrome sync so that your pinned tabs and settings follow you to your other computers. This data travels through your own Google account, like your Chrome bookmarks or settings, and is governed by Google’s privacy policy. Aroneus has no access to it.

The last page visited, the title and the icon of tabs are never synced. You can turn sync off in Harbor’s settings (“Sync with my Chrome account”): everything then stays on the computer in use.

4. What Harbor does not do

Harbor does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data or browsing history. It has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no account.

Harbor does not contact any Aroneus server. Apart from Chrome sync (if turned on), the only network requests are the ones Chrome makes to load the pages you open.

Harbor does not read the content of the pages you visit. Its page script only looks at the link you click, to tell whether it leads to another site, and sets the chosen title when you rename a pinned tab.

5. Permissions

Harbor asks for access to all websites because you can pin any site. That access is only used for the behavior described above.

6. Deleting your data

Unpinning a tab deletes its data, on every synced computer. Uninstalling Harbor deletes what it stored on that computer; data synced through your Google account can be cleared from Chrome’s sync settings.
